About the role
Infosys is seeking a Java AWS Developer to join its SURE (Services, Utilities, Resources, Energy) unit in Chicago. The role focuses on building and enhancing cloud‑native applications that support digital transformation for clients in the services and energy sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with business analysts to capture and document functional requirements.
- Participate in design discussions, produce technical specifications, and guide the development team.
- Develop new features and integrate enhancements using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain code repositories, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug‑fixes to maintain high software quality.
- Create user training materials, documentation, and support frameworks for smooth application rollout.
- Assist in resolving production incidents and propose preventive measures to improve system reliability.
Required profile
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirement gathering to deployment.
- Experience working in a technology consulting environment is a plus.
