IT Tier 1 Help Desk Support Specialist

About the role

Dex Imaging is seeking an IT Tier 1 Help Desk Support Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for internal users and managed‑service vendors. You will troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues, perform remote diagnostics, and ensure smooth onboarding of new equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Answer technical assistance requests via phone or email and provide remote troubleshooting.
• Create user accounts, configure hardware, and support audio/video equipment in conference rooms.
• Maintain accurate inventory of internal assets and track open tickets.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the Service Manager and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Perform hardware repairs such as SSD/HDD replacement, RAM upgrades, and replace damaged peripherals.
• Support client PC connectivity, including Ethernet, TCP/IP and VPN configurations.

Required profile

• High school diploma; technical school or at least 2 years of IT help‑desk experience.
• CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and clear communication skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
