About the role
The IT Service Desk Agent provides frontline technical support to staff across the University of Arkansas System. You will ensure smooth operation of computer equipment, software applications, and network services, helping users resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, configure, and manage computer hardware for staff members.
- Coordinate delivery, return, or secure disposal of equipment.
- Troubleshoot application, network, and hardware problems.
- Support commonly used tools such as Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, Zoom Rooms, Jira, Smartsheet, Docusign, and Workday.
- Update and manage service tickets, including phone communication with users.
- Maintain and contribute to the knowledge‑base articles for the service desk.
Required profile
- Professional staff with a focus on IT support.
- Ability to communicate clearly with non‑technical users.
- Detail‑oriented and capable of handling multiple requests.
