IT Operations Engineer – Asset Management

About the role

Anthropic is building reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems and needs an IT Operations Engineer to own its global asset management and hardware lifecycle program. You will design, implement, and scale processes for procurement, inventory, assignment, refresh, collection, e‑waste, and secure disposal across offices in San Francisco, New York, Seattle, London, Dublin, and Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global asset management strategy, defining lifecycle models, data schemas, and office‑level execution.
• Select, implement, and administer an asset management tool (e.g., Jira Assets, Snipe‑IT) and integrate it with existing platforms.
• Maintain an accurate record of every device from receipt through disposal, running regular audits and reconciling physical counts.
• Manage hardware procurement, refresh calendars, and vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with finance and accounting.
• Design and run collection, e‑waste, and secure disposal workflows, including certified recycling partners and chain‑of‑custody documentation.
• Operate the corporate mobile program, handling deployment, break‑fix, and carrier relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience building an end‑to‑end asset management and lifecycle program for a multi‑office fleet.
• Hands‑on experience selecting and configuring an asset management platform such as Jira Assets or Snipe‑IT.
• Experience running an e‑waste or secure disposal program with certified partners.
• Ability to document processes, runbooks, and knowledge‑base articles.
