Investment Banking Associate – Technology, Media & Telecom

About the role

Jefferies is seeking a motivated Investment Banking Associate to join its Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) franchise. Based in San Francisco, you will work on high‑impact M&A, equity capital markets, and leveraged finance transactions for leading technology companies.

Key responsibilities

• Support senior bankers with due diligence, execution, and client interaction on live deals.
• Prepare and deliver marketing materials, confidential offering memoranda, and management presentations.
• Develop target lists for potential buyers, investors, and strategic partners.
• Conduct in‑depth industry research, trend analysis, and complex financial modeling.
• Mentor and train analysts, ensuring quality deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record.
• 3‑5 years of investment banking transaction advisory experience.
• Highly motivated, confident, and passionate about technology sectors.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to live in or relocate to San Francisco.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling and valuation analysis.
