Interior Designer I – Philadelphia

About the role

EwingCole is seeking an ambitious Interior Designer I to support interior design projects in its Philadelphia office. You will work closely with the lead interior designer to develop concepts, select finishes, and produce construction documents that meet client expectations and the firm’s standards of design excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the lead interior designer in creating schematic and design development drawings.
• Research and select finish materials, furnishings, and color schemes.
• Prepare 3D renderings and presentation boards for client meetings.
• Coordinate with architecture, engineering, and other disciplines to ensure design consistency.
• Develop construction documents, specifications, and finish/furniture boards.
• Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, shop drawings, and conducting site visits.
• Contribute to in‑house design reviews and marketing presentation materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture.
• Portfolio submitted in PDF format.
• Strong conceptual skills and understanding of interior architectural detailing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite.
• 3D modeling using SketchUp and Rhino.
