Industrial Minerals Inspector (Marrero, LA)

About the role

The Industrial Minerals Inspector will conduct field inspections, weighing and sampling of various commodities for Bureau Veritas and its clients. This position requires travel to multiple sites in and around Marrero, LA, and represents the company in a professional manner.

Key responsibilities

• Attend various locations to carry out or supervise inspection, weighing, and sampling of commodities as directed by the Operations Supervisor.
• Perform visual and mechanical verification of materials, collect representative analytical samples, and handle sample receipt, signing, and dispatch.
• Maintain accurate time logs and reports within 24 hours of each inspection.
• Adhere to safety, IT, and company quality standards, and report any deviations immediately.

Required profile

• Self‑motivated field worker with strong time‑management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in remote locations and adapt to changing conditions.
• Good written, verbal, and email communication skills for interaction with clients and staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Technical ability in sampling, measurement, and inspection of dry bulk metals and minerals.
• Valid driver’s license and Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
