Industrial Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing Interco’s production facilities, ensuring that all equipment, machinery, and building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping, and electrical systems.
• Dismantle, install, test, and troubleshoot production equipment and machinery.
• Document maintenance activities as instructed.
• Conduct metal repair and fabrication tasks.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus and components.
• Perform minor repairs on forklifts, bobcats, and excavators, including pins and hydraulic hoses.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Required profile

• Ability to read, understand, and speak English.
• Completion of an Industrial Maintenance program or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years).
• Knowledge of single‑phase and three‑phase electricity up to 480 V.
• Experience reading electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and perform tasks such as kneeling, stooping, and climbing.

Required skills

• Use of a multimeter for troubleshooting.
• Operation of hand and power tools (grinders, saws, drills, etc.).
• Metal fabrication and repair.
• Electrical apparatus installation and repair.
• Preventive maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Hydraulic system maintenance.
