Industrial Machine Shop Parts Inspector

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Machine Shop Parts Inspector to join our team. In this role you will inspect and test parts produced by production to ensure they meet required specifications and quality standards. The position requires U.S. citizenship and access to DoD facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using calibrated equipment such as micrometers, calipers, indicators and gauges.
• Create inspection reports and confirm that in‑process and completed parts meet drawing requirements.
• Collaborate with production to ensure timely and accurate inspections and approve finished parts.
• Document non‑conforming parts and participate in root‑cause analysis meetings.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of machining experience and 5 years as a quality control inspector.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform tests with calibrated instruments.
• Portable CMM experience (FARO, Keyonce) highly desired.
• Pass a background check and possess a good driving record.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to DoD contracts.

• Micrometer, caliper and indicator gauge operation.
• Portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM) usage.
• Blueprint reading.
• Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Teams).
