Hybrid Advisor Consultant – Private Wealth & Advisor Services

About the role

Join the Private Wealth and Advisor Services team at Payden & Rygel, based in Los Angeles, to develop and maintain relationships with financial advisors, RIAs, and institutional consulting firms across the Western United States. The role combines internal and external responsibilities in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Raise new assets for commingled (primarily 40Act) funds and separate‑account strategies.
• Engage advisor prospects, OCIOs and existing clients through in‑office meetings, Zoom, phone and email, transitioning to a hybrid approach.
• Identify new business opportunities using tools such as Dakota, 13F and ADV filings.
• Provide market insight, product information and investment ideas independently.
• Collaborate with the Private Wealth & Advisor team and portfolio managers on marketing initiatives and platform agreements.
• Represent team priorities to internal and external stakeholders and evaluate vendor solutions.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and travel occasionally.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with medium‑to‑large RIAs, broker‑dealers, regional banks and OCIOs.
• Focus on the Western U.S. market and willingness to contribute to regional growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Zoom and other web‑based communication tools.
• Experience using Dakota, 13F and ADV filing databases.
• Knowledge of 40Act funds, CITs, 3(c)7 and separate‑account investment products.
