Human Resources Manager – Los Angeles

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our people function across multiple countries. Reporting directly to firm leadership, you will oversee talent acquisition, employee experience, benefits, compliance, and HR operations while managing a growing HR team in Los Angeles.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR advisor to senior leadership and participate in strategic meetings.
• Lead, develop and mentor the HR and Recruiting teams, establishing clear responsibilities and performance standards.
• Own the end‑to‑end recruiting process, track KPIs such as time‑to‑fill, quality‑of‑hire and candidate experience.
• Partner with department heads on workforce planning, organizational design and hiring initiatives.
• Handle employee‑relations matters, investigations, performance‑improvement plans and separations.
• Design and deliver culture, onboarding, compliance and leadership development programs.
• Administer benefits, leave programs (FMLA, ADA), compensation and bonus planning.
• Maintain and update the employee handbook, HR policies and operating procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws across all jurisdictions.
• Manage relationships with benefit providers, payroll and recruiting vendors and optimize HR systems and analytics.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including people‑management responsibilities.
• Proven ability to lead HR functions for a multi‑country organization.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment law and international compliance requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach leaders and handle sensitive situations.
• Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with HR information systems (HRIS) and people‑analytics tools.
