About the role
The Human Resources Generalist serves as the “face of HR” for employees and management, providing consistent, high-quality support across employee relations, labor relations, recruiting, onboarding, compensation, benefits, compliance, engagement, and employee development. This role acts as an employee advocate, HR advisor, and culture builder while supporting the delivery of standard HR processes and talent activities for individual employees and managers.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact and trusted advisor for employees and managers on policies, relations, and people matters.
- Manage day‑to‑day HR activities including investigations, corrective actions, discipline, performance management support, and escalation of high‑risk issues.
- Execute employee lifecycle tasks such as onboarding, off‑boarding, job changes, compensation updates, hiring support, terminations, and documentation.
- Prepare, obtain approvals for, and maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS, partnering with payroll and HRIS teams.
- Support time and attendance, leave administration, disability coordination, and benefits inquiries.
- Facilitate recurring HR programs like goal setting, performance reviews, talent planning, salary planning, and employee development.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify staffing needs, post jobs, coordinate interviews, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
- Act as a visible HR presence and culture builder, championing engagement, recognition, and development initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across HR, internal partners, and client group leaders, providing insights for workforce planning and compensation.
- Run and analyze HRIS reports to support leadership decision‑making and data integrity.
Required profile
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- 4–8 years progressive HR experience, preferably site‑based or operational.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong employee‑relations, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
- Change‑agent mindset with high energy, detail‑orientation, and strong analytical ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS experience required (Workday preferred).
