HR Business Partner

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to provide full‑scope HR leadership for our fast‑growing operational organization in Hanover, MD. The role blends strategic people initiatives with day‑to‑day operational support across professional, technical, and skilled‑trade teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to translate business objectives into HR solutions that improve capability, execution, engagement and accountability.
• Coach managers on communication, expectation setting, feedback, recognition and performance accountability.
• Provide employee‑relations guidance, conduct investigations and recommend balanced resolutions.
• Lead succession planning, talent reviews and compensation planning processes.
• Support workforce planning and staffing strategies with Talent Acquisition for full‑time, temporary, technical and skilled‑trade resources.
• Maintain a visible presence on‑site and travel quarterly to field locations to assess workforce needs and risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Industrial Relations or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 7 years progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a complex operational or regulated environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute HR strategies that align with operational priorities.
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal labor laws and ability to apply them in employee‑relations matters.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
