House Manager & Family Assistant with Meal Prep

About the role

We are seeking a proactive House Manager & Family Assistant to support a busy Seattle family of five. The role blends household organization, meal preparation, and flexible family support to keep daily life running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prep, and batch‑cook healthy meals, including 5 parent lunches and 2‑3 family dinners per week.
• Shop for groceries, manage pantry inventory, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Handle school pickups, pack lunches for the middle child, and provide occasional backup childcare.
• Coordinate appointments, calendar management, and event planning for birthdays, holidays, and family photos.
• Maintain household organization systems, daily resets, and prepare the home for bi‑weekly cleaning staff.
• Manage laundry, linen rotation, and ironing for parents.
• Oversee household supplies, subscriptions, and errands such as gift shopping and mail handling.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks, seasonal property maintenance, and vehicle upkeep including washes and registration.

Required profile

• Highly self‑motivated with strong ownership and accountability.
• Experience caring for children, comfortable driving, and able to adapt to unpredictable schedules.
• Excellent communicator who is professional, direct, and responsive.
• Warm, playful, and able to set consistent boundaries, especially for children with autism, ADHD, or selective eating.
• Physically active, able to keep up with a fast‑paced household and enjoy hands‑on tasks.
