Home Consultant – Retail Home Sales

About the role

As a Home Consultant for Clayton Homes, you will guide customers through the home‑buying journey, helping them select floor plans, options, and coordinating the construction process to deliver a world‑class experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying suitable floor plans and selecting options.
• Coordinate the construction timeline and ensure smooth hand‑offs.
• Maintain accurate customer files and follow up via the company’s CRM system.
• Support merchandising by selecting inventory, decorating model homes, and keeping the showroom presentable.
• Prospect new customers, develop a sales and marketing plan, and convert leads into appointments.
• Present model homes, demonstrate features, and highlight benefits to add value.
• Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and team activities.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of relationship‑driven B2C sales experience (preferred).
• General understanding of a retail environment and ability to obtain manufactured‑home sales licensing.
• Strong verbal communication, professional demeanor, and ability to work Saturdays.
• Physical ability to walk the lot, show homes year‑round, and lift up to 75 lb.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.
