Head of Compute Supply Chain

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a senior leader to own the compute supply chain that powers its AI systems. Based in San Francisco with remote‑friendly flexibility, you will be responsible for securing semiconductors, data‑center hardware and energy equipment, ensuring the company can meet its rapid growth demands.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute sourcing strategy for semiconductors, IT hardware, data‑center and energy equipment.
• Build and scale a high‑performing sourcing organization, hiring and developing category leads.
• Secure capacity through wafer reservations, long‑term agreements and strategic partnerships.
• Maintain executive relationships with hardware suppliers and OEMs for power and infrastructure.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks such as single‑source exposure, geopolitical tariffs and export controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal and Compute teams to align contracts and risk management.

Required profile

• 15+ years of strategic sourcing or supply‑chain leadership in semiconductors, hardware or data‑center infrastructure.
• Proven track record building and scaling sourcing organizations.
• Experience negotiating multi‑billion‑dollar capacity or long‑term supply agreements with senior executives.
• Deep knowledge of either semiconductor supply chains or data‑center power infrastructure, with the ability to lead the other.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate complex trade‑offs.
