GTM Engineer

About the role

We’re an early‑stage open‑source MLOps infrastructure startup building the orchestration layer for ML pipelines and AI agent workflows. We’re looking for a GTM Engineer to own our entire US presence and community from the ground up – a one‑person outpost role based in San Francisco, reporting directly to the founding team. This isn’t a traditional marketing or sales role; you’ll be the connector, the voice, and the person who turns conversations into a traceable pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Own and run the San Francisco developer community from zero, including a bi‑weekly meetup series for the ML‑infra crowd.
• Attend, host, and speak at AI‑infra meetups, hackathons, and conferences, building a visible personal brand across the Valley.
• Connect people, introduce them to each other, and turn relationships into community momentum.
• Evangelize through talks, blog posts, social content, and short demo videos rooted in real community insights.
• Demo the product live to technical audiences, answer questions, and hold your own with ML engineers.
• Instrument community and product signals (Mixpanel, GitHub, CRM, enrichment tools) into an automated flow so every conversation becomes a traceable pipeline.
• Serve as the eyes and ears in the Valley, feeding intelligence back into product and GTM strategy.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years in DevRel, community building, growth, or developer‑facing GTM roles with a proven record of turning event engagement into measurable business outcomes.
• Ability to demo and explain Python frameworks live, read code, work with APIs, and communicate technical concepts to ML engineers.
• Experience building and scaling developer communities or running technical events from scratch.
• Proficiency with modern GTM stack tools: CRM platforms, data‑enrichment tools (e.g., Clay), API integrations, and basic automation workflows.
• Experience measuring community initiatives using product analytics (Mixpanel or similar), GitHub signals, and CRM data.
• Comfort operating in a self‑directed, early‑stage environment with minimal hand‑holding.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate; on‑site work required.

What we offer

• Salary: $120,000 – $250,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
