Group Reformer Pilates Coordinator

About the role

Equinox is looking for an energetic, creative and enthusiastic Group Reformer Pilates Coordinator for its La Costa club. The role combines running the Group Pilates program with teaching classes, and runs about 20-25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Group Pilates staff and operations of the program to ensure high-quality programming and customer service
• Recruit, hire, train, motivate, direct, coach and evaluate Group Pilates instructors and classes
• Keep classes full and ensure high member participation
• Maintain studio and equipment cleanliness and keep studios well maintained
• Deliver the Equinox Experience in each class, adhering to the class description and adjusting intensity as needed
• Monitor exercise intensity throughout the class, start and end on time, and teach regularly while keeping subbing to a minimum
• Collaborate with other departments so members have a well-rounded experience
• Provide excellent customer service to members and guests, and take part in ongoing training and development
• Keep monthly payroll and supply expenses at or below budget

Required profile

• Completion of a comprehensive Pilates teacher training program, or certification on all Pilates apparatus (mat, reformer, cadillac/trapeze, wunda chair, high or combo chair, barrels)
• A minimum of 400 hours of Pilates education through a Pilates certification program, with a valid copy of certification provided
• Experience teaching group classes
• Exceptional customer service skills, friendly, vibrant and outgoing
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, squat, bend and reach, and to safely spot and correct clients
• Legal right to work in the United States
