General Maintenance Worker (Top-Secret Clearance)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a General Maintenance Worker to support one of its clients in the Northern Virginia region. The position requires a Top-Secret security clearance and covers both custodial and labor tasks across the client's facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Custodial work: dusting, washing, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors, polishing, trash collection and removal, carpet cleaning, replenishing toilet and kitchen supplies, using a dishwasher and stacking dishes, and cleaning air conditioning and heating supply and return vents.
• Labor work: grass cutting, changing light bulbs, trimming weeds along fences and around the parking area, blowing leaves and grass off the parking lot, and cleaning drains in the parking lot.
• Work areas include offices, special purpose areas, toilets and showers, corridors, fixtures, windows, lobbies, entrances, trash dumpsters, storage areas, weight room, conference rooms, garage and kitchen areas, and outside the building.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Specific training and thorough knowledge of facility maintenance, plus a broad knowledge of other subjects such as general math.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and company policies and procedures.
• Valid state-issued driver's license.
• Top-Secret clearance.

Required skills

• Forklift experience up to 6,000 lbs desired.
• At least two years of documented, verifiable training or experience with hazardous materials desired.
