Full-Time Teller – Customer Service & Cash Handling

About the role

Santander is seeking a friendly and detail‑oriented Full‑Time Teller to join its Jackson, NJ branch. In this customer‑focused role you will handle daily banking transactions while delivering exceptional service and supporting the branch’s overall operations.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, minimize wait times and assist with deposits, withdrawals, transfers and other banking needs.
• Handle cash accurately, maintain cash‑drawer balances and follow all compliance and risk‑management procedures.
• Identify and refer opportunities to cross‑sell Santander products, helping deepen customer relationships.
• Use digital tools to educate customers on self‑service options and resolve routine inquiries.
• Support custodial duties, audits and other operational tasks as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and may assist nearby branches when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months cash‑handling experience.
• At least 6 months demonstrated customer‑service experience.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and ability to follow policies.
• Effective communication and listening skills.
• Willingness to work branch hours, including weekends and evenings.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
• Fundamental math skills for cash transactions.
