Freight Handler – Full-Time

About the role

Walmart is seeking motivated individuals to join its Supply Chain team as Freight Handlers. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will support the flow of goods through receiving, unloading, processing, order‑filling and shipping activities at our Opelousas distribution center.

Key responsibilities

• Receive inbound shipments, verify quantities and condition of merchandise.
• Unload trucks and pallets using appropriate equipment.
• Sort, stage and process items for storage or outbound orders.
• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load outbound trailers and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized work area.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk and lift heavy items (up to 50 lb) repeatedly.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work scheduled weekday shifts.
• Basic reading and math skills for inventory verification.
