Founding Frontend Engineer

About the role

This is a product‑minded frontend engineering position focused on turning messy technical requirements into simple, intuitive interfaces. You will take loosely defined needs, prototype solutions, make design decisions, and deliver polished product surfaces that accelerate the entire team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the frontend layer of the proprietary Crucible platform, including interfaces, workflows, templates, and overall architecture.
• Shape interaction patterns, tighten performance, and ensure complex AI‑driven workflows feel clear, fast, and trustworthy.
• Create reusable components and product patterns that other engineers can leverage across customer projects.
• Maintain net‑new building blocks over time, not just one‑off UI implementations, to keep the platform robust and extensible.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building production‑grade frontend products with a strong focus on usability, speed, and visual polish.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, make sound trade‑offs without a fully defined spec, and clearly articulate those decisions.
• Strong design instincts despite not being a designer, recognizing confusing flows and opportunities for reusable components.
• Self‑sufficient and motivated to raise the frontend quality bar within a backend‑heavy engineering team.
• Collaborative mindset to work with delivery engineers and product teams.
