Founding Forward Deployed Engineer

About the role

Dryft is looking for a Founding Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge product, engineering, and operations. You will spend equal time building software and working directly with customers to turn complex manufacturing challenges into scalable product features.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the core product backbone, writing production code as needed.
• Engage with users to translate pain points into prototypes and feature improvements.
• Convert deployment learnings into reusable data models, playbooks, and productized solutions.
• Lead end‑to‑end full‑stack rollouts, from scoping and onboarding to integration and training.
• Coordinate with IT teams, engineers, and C‑level executives across the US, EU, and Germany (10–30% travel).
• Partner with the CEO and CTO to define product strategy and lay the foundation for future growth.

• Systems thinker who designs scalable processes in code and operations.
• Quality‑obsessed, deep‑diving problem solver.
• Confident communicator able to engage both shop‑floor operators and boardroom executives.
• Fluent in German and English.
