About the role

Weave, a YC‑backed startup, is building an AI‑powered platform that transforms how engineering teams measure productivity, impact, and collaboration. As the Founding Design Engineer, you will shape the visual and interactive experience of this platform, turning complex engineering data into simple, beautiful, and actionable interfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement user‑focused UI components and visualizations for engineering analytics.
• Develop and maintain a scalable design system and frontend standards.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO and CEO to translate product insights into intuitive user experiences.
• Iterate rapidly on prototypes, gather feedback, and refine designs to delight customers.
• Contribute to the overall product strategy by advocating for design‑driven solutions.

Required profile

• Strong design sensibility with a passion for crafting micro‑interactions and clear visual storytelling.
• Pragmatic mindset suited to a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Ability to take ownership from day one and work autonomously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma for UI/UX design.
• Hands‑on experience building frontend code (e.g., HTML/CSS/JavaScript).
