Forward Deployed Engineer – New Graduate

About the role

Roadrunner is building a new pricing and quoting platform (PQA) for enterprise customers. As a Forward Deployed Engineer you will work directly with RevOps and Sales leaders to turn complex pricing challenges into shipped features while gaining hands‑on experience with real customers.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with customers, collaborate with RevOps and Sales teams, and deliver solutions that solve their hardest pricing and approval problems.
• Own end‑to‑end delivery, from technical discovery through production launch and ongoing maintenance.
• Convert customer‑specific integrations and workflows into reusable product features for the core platform.
• Deploy, tune, and iterate AI‑driven quoting and approval agents in real‑world deal scenarios.
• Provide rapid feedback to the core engineering team by surfacing issues observed in enterprise environments.

Required profile

• Strong engineering fundamentals demonstrated through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Real curiosity and a habit of digging deep to understand why something broke.
• Ambition to take ownership early and deliver impact without a long backlog.
• Comfort working in ambiguous situations and creating solutions without detailed specifications.
• Clear, direct communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to be onsite with customers when needed.
• Based in San Francisco or willing to relocate to join an in‑person team.
