Financial Assistant – Remote (US)

About the role

Brightside is hiring compassionate and client‑focused Financial Assistants for its fully remote US team. The role supports working families through personalized financial coaching, education, and ongoing guidance, following a six‑week paid training program.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with clients by phone, chat, and email to understand their financial goals and challenges
• Provide financial education and personalized coaching based on individual circumstances
• Support clients experiencing financial hardship and connect them with appropriate resources
• Help clients improve budgeting, cash flow, debt management, credit, and savings strategies
• Research approved financial solutions and explain options clearly
• Develop practical short‑ and long‑term financial action plans
• Build trusted client relationships and provide accountability throughout each client’s financial journey
• Maintain accurate client records and collaborate with internal teams when needed

Required profile

• Experience in a customer‑facing or client‑service role
• Banking, financial planning, credit counseling, or financial‑services experience preferred but not required
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• Strong critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities
• Compassionate, empathetic, and non‑judgmental approach
• Ability to work independently in a secure remote environment
• Willingness to complete a six‑week paid training and onboarding program
