Financial Analyst I – New College Graduate (Santa Clara)

About the role

Applied Materials is a global leader in materials science and engineering solutions that underpin semiconductor chips and advanced displays. As a Financial Analyst I, you will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting for the AGS Logistics team in Santa Clara.

Key responsibilities

• Build annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, analyze actual results versus plan, and identify risks and opportunities.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, and cash flow; perform variance analysis and track key business KPIs.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, develop dashboards and management presentations, and provide insights to leadership.
• Monitor operating expense (OPEX) spending, track capital expenditures (CAPEX), and recommend cost‑saving opportunities.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, and Accounting to support strategic decisions and evaluate business cases.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, support audits, perform reconciliations, and maintain documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
