Field Sales Representative – Rapid City, SD

About the role

The Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales of Nestlé’s consumer‑goods portfolio across the Rapid City, SD territory. You will build and maintain relationships with store managers and retail staff to achieve short‑ and long‑term performance goals, focusing on sales, displays, new item introductions and overall value of retail.

Key responsibilities

• Sell incremental volume for displays and secure maximum support for promoted products.
• Collaborate with store‑level and district‑level retail personnel to conduct business reviews that drive volume.
• Ensure pricing compliance, report competitive price changes and resolve pricing issues.
• Identify and correct out‑of‑stock situations, ensure new items are on shelf and maintain share‑of‑shelf.
• Merchandise products to achieve schematic compliance, rotate stock and handle unsellable items.
• Communicate market insights from the retail level to management.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Psychology or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of retail sales, merchandising or CPG retail management experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing and willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.
• Strong customer service, organizational, communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and lift up to 55 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
