Family Medicine Physician (Outpatient)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or Med/Psych to join its outpatient primary‑care team at OHC Abita in the Northshore region of Louisiana. The position focuses on delivering comprehensive primary‑care services in a fully outpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct outpatient primary‑care to a diverse patient population, including chronic disease management.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system with strong support staff.
• Collaborate with LPN Care Coordinators, Outpatient Care Managers, and remote‑messaging nurses to close care gaps and reduce documentation burden.
• Participate in digital‑medicine initiatives that support management of patients with chronic conditions.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or Med/Psych.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
