Family Assistant & House Manager (Childcare & Meal Prep)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Family Assistant and House Manager to support our busy, faith‑centered household in Eagle, Idaho. The role combines childcare, meal preparation, and household organization for approximately 20‑25 hours per week, Monday‑Thursday.

Key responsibilities

• School pickups and transportation to extracurricular activities.
• Afternoon support: snack preparation, homework help, and tutoring assistance.
• Prepare and pack school lunches and in‑home meals, adhering to dietary guidelines and dairy‑free options.
• Grocery shopping and pantry restocking following family nutrition preferences.
• Daily tidying of common areas, dishes, and high‑traffic surfaces.
• Create and maintain organization systems, involving children in age‑appropriate upkeep.
• Fold, iron, and rotate laundry; maintain a tidy laundry area.
• Quarterly deep cleaning tasks (fridge, oven, baseboards) and humidifier maintenance.
• Manage pet‑care scheduling, supplies, and veterinary appointments.
• Vehicle upkeep: occasional fueling, cleaning, and maintenance scheduling.
• Administrative support: calendar management, event coordination, and travel planning.
• Handle household errands such as returns, dry‑cleaning drop‑offs, gift shopping, and mail handling.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented self‑starter who can work with limited direction and take ownership.
• Warm, patient presence with children, encouraging independence and responsibility.
• Strong communication skills, punctual, reliable, and composed under pressure.
• Comfortable in a faith‑centered home and respects Catholic values.
• Ability to follow dietary restrictions, including dairy‑free options, and avoid seed oils, food dyes, and highly processed foods.
• Comfortable driving in variable weather and with medium/large dogs; clean driving record required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
