About the role

STRUCTURAL is seeking an Estimator to join its Baton Rouge office. You will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for complex, self‑performed construction projects that include concrete repair, masonry restoration, waterproofing, structural strengthening, and fireproofing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare estimates by calculating quantity take‑offs, material price lists, labor and equipment costs.
• Define and quantify scope of work and develop conceptual, budgetary, and construction cost estimates.
• Research historical data and compile summary reports to establish guidelines for future estimates.
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities with prospective and existing customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management (desired, not required).
• 3–12 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in concrete repair projects.
• Ability to estimate projects of moderate complexity up to $10 Million.
• Experience estimating up to five projects directly and mentoring up to five indirect estimates.
• Familiarity with contract terms and conditions and strong knowledge of the industrial construction market.
