About the role
Join a premier global investment bank as an Equity Capital Markets (ECM) Associate/Analyst. You will support senior bankers in executing equity and equity‑linked transactions across the full investment banking lifecycle, reporting directly to the Head of Capital Markets.
Key responsibilities
- Support origination and execution of equity transactions such as IPOs, follow‑ons, CMPO, PIPEs, block trades, convertible bonds, and other equity‑linked offerings.
- Assist with M&A advisory work, including fairness opinions.
- Build and maintain market intelligence tools, pitch materials, offering memoranda, investor presentations, ECM transaction databases, valuation benchmarks, and CRM trackers.
- Conduct detailed market analysis, valuation comps, investor sentiment tracking, and sector trend research.
- Monitor daily equity market conditions and translate trading dynamics into actionable client advice.
- Coordinate with Origination, Syndicate, Sales & Trading teams to market, price, and allocate transactions.
- Participate in due diligence, drafting, and regulatory filing processes.
- Interface with legal, compliance, and external counsel during transaction execution.
- Prepare thought pieces on ECM market trends for internal and client‑facing use.
- Collaborate with the corporate access team on non‑deal roadshows.
Required profile
- Undergraduate degree; MBA or graduate degree is a plus.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience, including 1–2 years at the analyst level in an investment bank or ECM team.
- Strong understanding of equity capital markets, valuation, and financial modeling.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to distill complex market dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset, professionalism, and openness to constructive feedback.
- Basic knowledge of AI tools and applications.
- FINRA Series 63 (or 66) and Series 79 required within 90 days of hire if not transferable.
