Environmental Services Specialist – Evening Shift

About the role

The Environmental Services Specialist works evenings to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff at Kingman Healthcare facilities. The role follows KHI policies, infection‑prevention standards and regulatory requirements while supporting the organization’s vision of high‑quality, compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, clinical and public areas, equipment and high‑touch surfaces using approved products and procedures.
• Collect, remove and dispose of trash, soiled linen, medical and bio‑hazard waste in accordance with federal, state and organizational guidelines.
• Operate and maintain EVS, laundry, floor‑care equipment and carts safely and efficiently.
• Monitor assigned areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, supply needs, spills or equipment issues and report them to the supervisor.
• Maintain adequate stock of clean linen and supplies, and ensure laundry and storage areas remain organized and sanitary.
• Complete cleaning logs, delivery records and other required documentation accurately and timely.

Required profile

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively, especially during emergencies.
• Capability to follow written and verbal instructions and manage multiple priorities safely.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 20 lb regularly and occasional lifts up to 50 lb.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license (must be 21 years or older) if designated for transport duties.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial cleaning, laundry and floor‑care equipment.
• Safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals, disinfectants and PPE.
• Medical waste handling and infection‑control practices.
