Environmental Process Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Environmental Process Engineer to join our Environmental Compliance team. The role blends engineering design, regulatory compliance, and hands‑on field work to deliver sustainable solutions for industrial, municipal and healthcare facilities across Connecticut and the Northeast.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial wastewater, air‑pollution control, remediation and treatment systems.
• Prepare plans, specifications, calculations and technical documentation, including AutoCAD drawings.
• Evaluate existing systems, identify design or compliance issues, and recommend improvements.
• Support equipment selection, construction observation, installation, troubleshooting, startup and commissioning.
• Review environmental permits and regulatory requirements; prepare wastewater, air, storm‑water and oil‑control permits.
• Conduct field investigations, inspections, sampling and data collection to assess system performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience with industrial, municipal or healthcare environmental projects.
• Ability to work across the full project lifecycle from investigation to commissioning.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to regulatory compliance.
