Engineering Manager – Power Generation

About the role

The Manager, Engineering – Power Generation leads a dedicated engineering team in Houston, designing and building reciprocating‑engine power packages (1‑5 MW). Reporting to the Director of Power Generation, you will oversee all engineering phases for the U.S. product line.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and staff all engineering activities, assigning workload and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
• Provide systems, resources, and training to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Identify gaps in engineering standards and implement best practices.
• Chair weekly meetings with Project Coordination/Project Engineering to discuss resources, technical updates, standards, and project issues.
• Lead product improvements and cost‑reduction initiatives while developing and documenting design standards.

Required profile

• Engineering degree; professional engineering designation preferred.
• 7‑10 years of leadership experience in power‑generation or rotating‑equipment engineering.
• Proven experience with packaged reciprocating engines (1‑5 MW) and large, complex project engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and presentation skills.
