Engineering Manager, Billing Platform

About the role

The Billing Platform team at Sentry sits at the intersection of product, finance, and infrastructure, ensuring every observable event is accurately measured, priced, and billed. As an Engineering Manager you will lead engineers responsible for critical workflows such as checkout and invoicing while shaping the future of the billing experience for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the team’s roadmap, aligning goals with the overall platform strategy.
• Provide technical leadership on complex distributed systems and ensure operational excellence.
• Partner with product, finance, BizOps, marketing and sales to translate business goals into scalable solutions.
• Lead, mentor and grow a team of engineers, including staff‑level contributors, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
• Communicate progress, challenges and strategic direction to senior leadership and represent the team internally and externally.

Required profile

• Product‑ and platform‑oriented leader comfortable with distributed systems and software architecture.
• High agency individual who defines the billing vision for the next 6‑12 months and translates it into team priorities.
• Strong collaborator who works closely with design, product and cross‑functional teams.

• Professional experience with Python.
