Engineering Manager – AI‑Powered Cybersecurity Products

About the role

Anthropic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a small, high‑velocity team building AI‑powered cybersecurity products. You will guide the team from prototype to production, working closely with research, product, and customers to turn cutting‑edge model capabilities into defend‑code and infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, shaping culture and performance.
• Stay connected with customers, design partners, and the security community to prioritize product work.
• Own architectural decisions across the full stack, from model orchestration to product surfaces and data infrastructure.
• Coordinate with go‑to‑market, partnership, and other product teams.
• Develop the next layer of leadership within the team.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience and 4+ years managing engineers.
• Proven track record shipping cybersecurity products (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, application security, threat detection, incident response, security automation).
• Hands‑on technical leader comfortable with code reviews and design discussions.
• Strong product instincts and ability to decide what to build, not just how.
• Clear communicator who can align research, product, GTM, and executive partners.
