Engineering Lead, Platform Foundations

About the role

Reflection's Platform Foundations team builds the core cloud, networking, security, and developer tooling that every engineering team relies on. As the Engineering Lead you will guide a high‑performing group of infrastructure engineers, contribute hands‑on to the stack, and manage key vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and grow a team of ~10 infrastructure and platform engineers.
• Provide front‑line leadership for multi‑cloud design, networking primitives, identity/security, and developer infrastructure.
• Stay hands‑on to make targeted contributions as an individual contributor.
• Prioritize work, manage projects in a fast‑paced environment, and drive technical decisions emphasizing scalability, robustness, security, and cost predictability.
• Manage cloud and infrastructure vendor relationships and negotiate critical deals.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and leading infrastructure or platform teams while remaining technically hands‑on.
• Deep expertise in at least one area: cloud platforms, network engineering, security architecture, or developer tooling, with working knowledge of the others.
• Strong coding ability and credibility to earn technical trust.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating deals.
