Engineer, Security Operations & Engineering

About the role

Collibra is looking for a Security Operations & Engineering Engineer to join its growing Security Organization. In this hands‑on role you will design, build, and operate security solutions that protect our data, infrastructure, and customers across cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement secure architectures in AWS, GCP or Azure, applying zero‑trust and identity‑based access controls.
• Manage threat detection, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to proactively remediate risks.
• Lead incident response activities, leveraging threat intelligence to detect, contain, and prevent cyber threats.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST 800‑53, CIS, OWASP, SOC 2, CSA and support internal and external audits.
• Automate security processes within CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure‑as‑Code workflows.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security or Security Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience.
• U.S. citizenship and residence on U.S. soil (role supports U.S. government).
• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity about emerging threats, and ability to communicate security concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
