Electrical QA/QC Lead (BIM)

About the role

We are seeking a highly technical Electrical QA/QC Lead to join our BIM/VDC team. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of electrical deliverables for U.S.-based construction projects, aligning all outputs with NEC and other U.S. electrical codes.

Key responsibilities

• Review electrical shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation for accuracy and code compliance.
• Validate and update electrical BIM models based on approved submittals.
• Check Revit families and BIM content for consistency and correctness.
• Identify and report discrepancies, omissions, or technical issues between documentation and models.
• Perform quality control reviews of BIM deliverables before final submission.
• Collaborate with the BIM/VDC team to communicate findings and required corrections.
• Use Revit and Navisworks to inspect models and resolve coordination issues.
• Maintain a consistent QA/QC process and track recurring quality issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Professional experience with electrical systems, construction documentation, and U.S. projects.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and U.S. electrical standards/codes.
• Experience reviewing electrical shop drawings, submittals, and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with BIM/VDC workflows and the relationship between documentation and models.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
