Electrical Engineer – Power Distribution & Facilities

About the role

Reliable Safety & Flow Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer with facilities and power distribution experience to support its Columbia, PA manufacturing plant. The role focuses on developing, maintaining, documenting, and continuously improving the site’s electrical infrastructure, including substations, switchgear, and plant‑wide power distribution systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents for electrical infrastructure projects.
• Document and maintain accurate records of the electrical distribution network, including one‑line diagrams and critical assets.
• Coordinate contractor activities, review vendor designs, and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Plan and execute annual shutdowns, outages, and major capital improvement projects.
• Develop and improve preventive maintenance programs for substations, transformers, and switchgear.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, power distribution, or industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and NFPA 70B standards.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industrial experience.
• Experience working with utility providers and managing large‑scale infrastructure projects.

Required skills

• Design and engineering of power distribution systems (69 kV, 12.47 kV, 4.16 kV, 2.4 kV, 480 V).
• Substation, switchgear, transformer, and protective relay expertise.
• Power monitoring and asset management.
• PLC programming, electrical drives, and industrial control systems.
• Project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and contractor oversight.
