Editorial Lead – Content Strategy

About the role

Sentry needs an owner for its blog, newsletter, and broader content programs. This self‑starter will create and manage the editorial calendar, shape the narrative, and ship high‑quality content quickly for a developer‑focused audience.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑lead blog strategy, partnering with Growth and Product Marketing to build thought‑leadership, customer, and employer‑brand content.
• Oversee content quality as the final gatekeeper, ensuring a consistent, sharp voice across all posts.
• Track industry trends in developer and infrastructure spaces and turn them into timely Sentry content.
• Partner with executives to develop and ghostwrite executive‑level pieces.
• Run the monthly newsletter, curating blog posts, events, and social moments while maintaining voice and quality.
• Lead premium content creation such as data reports, e‑books, and case studies in collaboration with the broader campaign team.

Required profile

• Prefers shipping a solid draft today over polishing for weeks.
• Has previously owned an editorial calendar or blog program in a B2B or developer‑focused environment.
• Can write quickly in multiple voices without sacrificing editorial standards.
• Understands technical audiences (SDKs, error monitoring, observability) and can write credibly about them.
• Identifies emerging conversations and proposes multiple content angles proactively.

Required skills

• Experience managing editorial calendars, blogs, or content programs for B2B/developer companies.
• Strong writing and editing abilities, with a track record of fast, high‑quality output.
• Comfortable ghostwriting for executives and adapting tone across audiences.
• Hands‑on experience running a newsletter, from creation to performance iteration.
• Familiarity with developer tools, infrastructure, or software‑related topics.
• Demonstrated self‑directed execution without heavy oversight.
