About the role

The Economic Empowerment AmeriCorps works within the International Rescue Committee to help clients achieve and maintain employment and economic self‑sufficiency. Reporting to the Early Employment Coordinator, the role delivers vocational training, career counseling, and employer outreach to strengthen client capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver vocational training workshops covering U.S. work culture, digital literacy, resume writing, interview preparation, and new‑hire paperwork.
• Assess workshop efficacy and adjust curriculum to meet client and employer needs.
• Collaborate with early employment, adult education, and financial coaching teams to provide digital and financial literacy sessions.
• Conduct sector‑specific research on hiring trends and build relationships with local employers.
• Support clients in monitoring job performance, wage levels, and employer satisfaction.
• Maintain case files and database records, ensuring timely compliance with reporting requirements.
• Provide ongoing employment support, including employer outreach and one‑on‑one client meetings.
