Early Head Start Teacher (Full‑Time)

About the role

Save the Children is seeking a dedicated Early Head Start Teacher to join its U.S. Head Start program. You will work alongside a co‑teacher to design and deliver developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants and toddlers, fostering their social‑emotional, physical, and cognitive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized and group lesson plans that promote readiness for preschool.
• Guide daily classroom activities, field trips, and small‑group experiences.
• Set up and maintain a safe, developmentally appropriate learning environment.
• Conduct parent conferences and home visits to discuss child progress and support family engagement.
• Maintain accurate paper and electronic records, ensuring confidentiality.
• Perform observations, assessments, and screenings, documenting findings in a comprehensive portfolio.
• Verify compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Required profile

• Experience working with infants and toddlers in an Early Head Start or similar early‑childhood setting.
• Strong ability to build partnerships with families and collaborate with a co‑teacher.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and high‑quality classroom environment.
• Understanding of early‑childhood development standards and regulatory requirements.
