Donor Relations Director

About the role

Crossroads Mission Avenue is seeking a Donor Relations Director to join its administrative team. The role focuses on developing and executing fundraising strategies, building strong relationships with major donors, and securing major and planned gifts that support the organization’s mission and core values.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and prioritize a portfolio of approximately 150 major‑gift prospects, conducting database research and maintaining regular communication.
• Design and implement personalized cultivation and solicitation plans, including proposals, presentations, and event coordination.
• Lead the solicitation process, making direct asks, negotiating gift agreements, and facilitating charitable estate planning opportunities.
• Collaborate with executive team members to align departmental initiatives, special events, and donor stewardship programs with overall fundraising goals.
• Track and report progress using donor‑cycle software, ensuring timely, accurate documentation of interactions and meeting revenue targets.
