Dishwasher – La Quinta

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our team at Discovery Land Company in La Quinta. The role involves operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment, ensuring all kitchen and dining ware are clean, sanitized, and properly stored, and supporting the overall cleanliness of the back‑of‑house areas.

Key responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines and manually clean dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen vessels.
• Maintain sanitation standards by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash from kitchen work areas.
• Set up china, glassware, and silverware for service across all outlets.
• Store cleaned items in an organized, safe manner and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Monitor chemical storage, maintain concentration logs, and follow safety procedures.
• Perform regular inventory checks and report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Executive Chef.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and participate in department briefings.
• Assist with departmental objectives and uphold all company policies and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum three months experience in a high‑end restaurant, resort, or private club.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and stay calm during busy periods.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift items for more than eight hours per shift.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
