Director, US Commercial Transformation

About the role

As the Director of US Commercial Transformation at 3M, you will lead the shift from a traditional sell‑in model to a consumer‑driven approach across the US Commercial organization. You will partner with senior leaders to design, implement, and embed new operating models, KPIs, and governance structures.

Key responsibilities

• Own the transformation roadmap, critical path management, and decision governance for the US commercial business.
• Document current and future state workflows, redesign processes, and enable adoption of new commercial KPIs.
• Collaborate with US leadership, HR, Finance, and Commercial Excellence to map roles, update responsibilities, and drive reskilling plans.
• Establish disciplined governance cadences, manage communications, and remove adoption barriers.
• Coordinate with corporate transformation teams to align US changes with enterprise direction while minimizing duplication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required) and preferably a Master’s in Business, Marketing, Finance, Strategy, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in transformation program management, commercial excellence, operating‑model implementation, or change management in a highly matrixed environment.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale commercial transformation initiatives.
