About the role
The Director of Financial Crime Compliance Technology Solutions leads the design, development, and implementation of technology tools that support the Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s financial crime compliance program. Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime and Trading Compliance, the role works closely with the Bank’s Technology Group and business stakeholders to ensure robust transaction monitoring and KYC capabilities aligned with the Bank’s risk appetite.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Head of Financial Crime and Trading Compliance in deploying technology solutions for effective financial crime compliance.
- Identify, develop, and implement transaction‑monitoring scenarios tailored to the Bank’s products and services.
- Oversee testing, tuning, and ongoing optimization of monitoring scenarios before production rollout.
- Evaluate internal control structures around automated compliance solutions and recommend improvements.
- Partner with First‑Line teams to implement Know‑Your‑Customer and case‑management functionalities.
- Manage relationships with third‑party vendors providing financial‑crime technology.
- Collaborate with Risk, Audit, and other internal groups to ensure integrated implementation.
- Prepare presentations and lead special projects as assigned.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in regulatory, financial‑crime, AML and sanctions compliance.
- Proven track record with financial‑crime compliance technologies, including transaction monitoring and KYC systems.
- Design and implementation expertise in AML technology, rule development, tuning, and optimization.
- Strong knowledge of fraud and money‑laundering typologies.
- Ability to manage change in a complex, dynamic environment and work collaboratively across functions.
