About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is seeking a Diagnostic Cardiac Medical Sonographer for a temporary fixed‑term assignment in El Dorado, AR. The role supports cardiac imaging services by performing high‑quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations and collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound studies, acquire and document diagnostic images.
• Ensure image quality and adherence to UAMS protocols and safety standards.
• Maintain and troubleshoot sonography equipment.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to interpret findings and provide timely reports.
• Document procedures accurately in patient records.

Required profile

• Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent.
• Relevant experience in cardiac sonography.
• Valid state license and legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced clinical environment.
