DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to own and evolve our GitLab‑based delivery platform. You will manage pipelines, runners, cloud integrations and on‑prem infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Proxmox, partnering with development, security and product teams to ensure fast and safe code delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the migration from GitHub to GitLab, moving repositories, history, branches, tags, LFS, releases, packages, issues, pull/merge requests and CI configurations.
• Translate GitHub Actions into reusable GitLab CI/CD components, matrix strategies, environments, OIDC and self‑hosted runner equivalents.
• Plan and execute the cut‑over strategy, run mirrors during transition, verify parity and retire GitHub assets.
• Own migration runbooks and conduct enablement sessions for stakeholders.
• Build and maintain multi‑stage GitLab CI/CD pipelines, parent/child pipelines and matrix builds.
• Scale and tune GitLab Runners on Kubernetes, AWS, Azure and Proxmox, managing tagging, caching and artifact strategies.
• Implement blue/green, canary and rolling deployments with feature flags and automated rollback mechanisms.
• Manage release governance including protected branches/tags, merge‑request approvals, CODEOWNERS and environment‑scoped variables.
• Integrate pipelines with AWS services such as ECR, EKS/ECS/Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS and infrastructure‑as‑code tools like CloudFormation and CDK.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, operating and scaling GitLab CI/CD pipelines and runners.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms AWS and Azure.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and on‑prem virtualization (Proxmox).
• Ability to collaborate across development, security and product teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
